Born from his love of music, David Box founded the Box Talent Agency. David actively participates in the daily activities of his company. He played an instrumental role in launching the careers of successful local and national bands such as The Dixie Chicks, The Nixons, and Wakeland. David also coordinates just about every musical event in the Oklahoma City and Tulsa areas, plus many events across the U.S. His many contacts within the industry keep him on top of his game, allowing Box Talent Agency to book any band or celebrity you may have in mind. Some of the names Box Talent has brought to our clients over the years include Toby Keith, Hootie and The Blowfish, The Goo Goo Dolls, Pat Green, Oak Ridge Boys, Lisa Loeb, Better Than Ezra, The Black Crowes, and many others. David strives for excellence in supplying all of his customers with top-notch entertainment: nothing is too big or too small for him. He is also listed in Durocher’s and the Journal Record as one of the Top 40 Business Persons Under 40. In addition, he was also appointed by the Mayor to the OKC Tennis, Inc. and is a member of YPO/ Oklahoma City Chapter.

Q: Does Box Talent ever sign new bands?
A: Of course. We just recently signed The Groove Merchants from Oklahoma City and Johnny Reno from Texas.

I just wanted to write and say what a great year 2004 was for myself and Box Talent. One of the reasons was due to the Tulsa office being started. The Tulsa office has been open now for over a year and we have seen such positive outcomes from the expansion. Box Talent already had some great clients and events in Tulsa prior to the opening, but we thought it made sense to expand in that market. Our Tulsa clients and Tulsa bands have been great during this process and we look forward to years to come. I really enjoy spending the majority of my time in Tulsa, but make sure and go back to Norman quite often to see our clients there and the rest of the Box Talent team.
