Groove Merchants
The Groove Merchants band was originally conceived in 2001 as an outlet for professional studio musicians to play the cover songs they all loved and grew up hearing on the radio. Covering music from Stevie Wonder, Chicago and Earth Wind and Fire to all types of top 40 music hits of today, this 8-piece horn band quickly realized there was a connection to the audience who truly appreciated the complex harmonies and tight grooves that existed in their set lists. Today, the Groove Merchants employ the talents of some of Oklahoma City's finest jazz, rock and country players and are equally at home performing as a jazz octet, six-piece rock band, or the full-blown Groove Merchants with the 3-piece OKC Horns.
