Meet Box Talent's Newest Agent, Katie!
We're extremely excited to announce that we have a new agent! Katie has already become a huge light in our office. Her great sense of humor combined with hard work make her so easy to work with.
Need entertainment for a wedding, holiday party, reception or any other event? Katie will have you covered and see your event through to the end! We love working with her- and know that you will too!
Do you have any fun hobbies? I love to paint, but my really passion is for the non-profit organization I founded in 2013 called Little Ladies Society. Our mission statement is: Little Ladies Society is dedicated to increasing the self-love and self-esteem of young girls in our community by teaching positive life values in a manner they can understand, and then apply to their lives and spread to their world. It has been neglected in 2014 with my old job (I worked 60-70 hours at the restaurant) but I really hope to start dedicating some time to LLS in 2015!
What do you like most about working with Box Talent so far? I love that it’s just a FUN job. I’m booking bands for a living for goodness sake! The team here is just amazing. Everyone has been incredibly supportive and I am so thankful for those relationships.
Sooners or Cowboys? BOOMER!!! :)
What band/musician did you love growing up? I vividly remember the very first artist I loved as a child, Amy Grant, lol. I adored her and got all her CDs…and that’s when CDs were just becoming affordable! Then, as a teenager, I had a great love affair with Matchbox Twenty, Everclear and The Beatles. As an adult, my musical tastes extend the ages and genres.
If you could listen to one song for the rest of your life-what would it be? Oh gosh…that’s a very difficult question! Hmm, I guess I would have to go with Eleanor Rigby by The Beatles. I have always adored that song and I think it speaks to many people on many levels. There is a life truth in the lyrics.
Are you from OKC? What is your favorite thing about living here? I have always lived in OKC. I grew up on the south side of town and I went to Westmoore HS (graduated 2001). I think the thing I love the most about OKC is the growing vibrancy we have been experiencing in the past 15ish years. Ever since the MAPS projects were started, so many wonderful new things have been built and I’ve been able to watch that happen. Downtown OKC was NOT a safe place to go not all that long ago and now look how wonderful it is.
Favorite restaurant in OKC? Oh my goodness that is an almost impossible question!! I am a total foodie and I love all different restaurants for all different reasons. BUT, if I was forced to choose I would say Nomad II on N May only because they have the best marinara sauce I have ever had in my life!
What actress would you want to play you in a movie? Hmmm…let’s go with Charlize Theron. Because she’s the most beautiful woman that ever lived, ever. :)
