Artist Info

Southern Rift is a show-stopping duo based in the heart of Oklahoma City. Comprised of singer-songwriters Brooke Potter and Connor Anderson, Southern Rift’s style features a fusion of indie-folk, country, pop, and bluegrass roots. The duo’s strong harmonies and undeniable musical chemistry along with Connor’s guitar acoustics provide a powerful mixture capable of captivating any audience. Their credentials include features on KSBI’s Oklahoma Live and Rodeo Opry as well as performances for the Oklahoma City Redhawks, Dodgers, and NBA Thunder. They have opened for Nashville recording artist Levi Parham and recently placed as finalists in Oklahoma’s Voice of the Heartland Competition. They are currently working on their first EP.

Brooke currently studies vocal performance at the Academy of Contemporary Music at UCO. She has been performing since the age of five and developed her start at the Rodeo Opry where she now performs regularly. She has worked with artists such as American Idol Hollywood finalist Laura Leighe, along with Kata Hay & The Blaze, Amanda Earheart, Cindy Scarberry, and countless others. In addition to performing the national anthem for various sporting events across the state, she has also performed for the Oklahoma Air National Guard, Chamber of Commerce, and at the 2009 Oklahoma Military Ball for esteemed guests including Governor Brad Henry.

Born and raised in Choctaw, Connor discovered his love for performing at the age of 11 when he became involved in musical theatre. He was inspired to play guitar after attending a Coldplay concert at the age of 15 and hasn’t turned back since. In addition to guitar, Connor sings with the Lifelight band at St. Lukes United Methodist Church in Oklahoma City as part of the contemporary service. He has worked with notable artist Graham Colton and has been featured on Rise and Shine Oklahoma. He has also performed with the Rodeo Opry as well as several other theatres across Oklahoma. Connor is currently a student at the Academy of Contemporary at UCO where he studies music business.
