Gunter Hammett

Gunter Hammett is currently pursuing an undergraduate degree at the University of Oklahoma where he studies classical guitar with Larry Hammett. Gunter Hammett has performed in the United States and abroad. Mr. Hammett has attended the Unlimited Music and Arts festival in Vyzytsa, Greece multiple times. He will also travel to Serbia for the XI Classical Music Festival, where he will perform solo works, as well as chamber music works with the Oklahoma Quintet. Mr. Hammett has had masterclasses with renown classical guitar players such as Pepe Remero, Iakovos Kolanian, and Gerhard Reichenbach.
Mr. Hammett teaches beginning classical guitar to students of all ages. He is currently the guitar teacher at Fine Arts Academy at First Baptist Church and Imagine Music and Arts, both in Norman, OK.
In addition to playing classical guitar music, Mr. Hammett is interested in other genres such as Flamenco and Jazz. He studied Flamenco at Escuela Carmen de las Cuevas in Granada, Spain, in 2014.
Mr. Hammett often plays at special events such as weddings, opening ceremonies, and cocktail parties.
