Neil Diamond: Diamond on the Rocks
Artist Information
Glenn Sulley was born and raised in Newfoundland, an island located on the eastern coast of Canada. His musical roots stem from both of his parents, his mother was a singer and his father played guitar. As a young boy, he sang in church and in his grade school choir. It wasn’t until ninth grade, that he got interested in learning to play the guitar and writing songs.
As a young adult, he toured and recorded with an Irish Celtic band, “The Clancy’s.” He also performed solo gigs throughout eastern and central Canada. He has performed the “Star Spangled Banner” on national T.V. for the NBA, NHL, and the (WTA) Women’s Tennis Association. He has written and performed several radio and T.V. commercial jingles, both in Canada and throughout Oklahoma. He has won two “Silver Mike” awards for local (Oklahoma) and national jingle work, received “honorable mention” in two national songwriting contests, and many of his original compositions have been performed and recorded by various musicians, both in the U.S. and Canada. Recently, one of his original songs was published in “Chalice Praise”, a contemporary Christian songbook. Several of his original songs, also appear on a compilation he recorded with local Christian band, “Walking Temple.”
Glenn and David Sisson have also recorded a CD of original music, titled, “Glory Road” which is available on iTunes. Glenn, Jillian, and David currently perform as a trio at venues in the Oklahoma City area. Glenn’s most recent project is “Diamond on the Rocks,” a tribute to Neil Diamond. It’s a two hour show of the greatest hits of Neil Diamond. Glenn also enjoys singing with his fiancé, Jillian in various musical venues and variety shows across the State of Oklahoma.
