Artist Information

Music has always been an inspiration to Rick Jawnsun.  From a young age, he knew he had an ear for music.  His first hands on experience with music with a couple of five-gallon buckets and some homemade drumsticks created from tree branched take from a nearby pecan tree.  While his family may have heard differently, Rick heard music while banging on those drums.

While listening to many musicians at local events in the small town of Castroville, Texas, Rick realized he wanted to be more than just a fan of good music, he wanted to make it.  After spending five years in the U.S. Army, he knew that music was the medicine to feed his soul.  In August of 2007, Rick picked up a Fender Stratocaster and started taking guitar lessons.  Teaching himself for the most part, he quickly learned how to play.  Almost immediately. He started to learn songs that were played by musicians he admired the most.  He has kept his feet moving along the musicians’ path over the years and continues to hold close the motivation and loyalty to his guitar that allows him to keep making great music for everyone to enjoy.

Rick has performed hundreds of shows between the State of Texas and Oklahoma City.  He is performing acoustic shows in and around the Oklahoma City area and has made his way back to his hometown for a quick visit with family and a rocking show for family and friends.  You can find his music on iTunes, Spotify, and other music platforms.
