Stephen Salewon is a singer/songwriter. He grew up in Lagos, Nigeria and started writing music at the age of 10 due to his passion for it and exposure to talented musicians his father was acquainted with. His family eventually made a life changing transition that would relocate him to Oklahoma City. Through influences from his African roots, Red Dirt Music and likes of Jack Johnson, Michael Buble, and Coldplay, his Indie Pop-Blues genre has taken a unique character of its own; sugar-coated with a soulful and festive ambiance. His personal life journeys, character, and lyrics acknowledges and proclaims the innate desires of the heart. You will find out by listening to his tunes; the melody, passion, sincerity, abstraction, and yet its simplicity will leave you speechless.
