The Reds Rock Down Under Pub

In wake of a disappointing Texas Rangers loss, the crowd at Down Under Pub in Allen, Texas was fuming Saturday night – luckily, ‘The Reds’ provided a much needed shift in gears.  As soon as the band hit the stage, bar-goers hit the dance floor, and the vibe immediately livened.The_reds_pic_1.JPG

Midway through their opening song, most women had already migrated toward the stage, and it wasn’t long before guys were putting their woes aside as well.  ‘The Reds’ floored the audience early with a variety of today’s top dance and hip-hop favorites like; Lady Gaga’s “Poker Face” and Cee Lo’s “F**k You.”  Their timing was impeccable and their rhythm was spot-on – but, it was their ability to recreate pop hits with a unique alternative twist that made their performance most memorable.

As the night went on, The Reds continued to fuel the dance floor.  Surprisingly, they avoided overplayed classic rock covers; and instead, zeroed-in on more contemporary hits.  Their performance was refreshing, energetic and above all entertaining.  Against the wall from the beginning, the band showed perseverance and zest – their ability to ignite the atmosphere and keep patrons from pity-drinking was pretty impressive.

If you haven’t been, make sure to get out to Down Under Pub in Allen – live music, great drink specials and good food every weekend - For more information on band listings and event information check out their website.
